Overall it was a successful half term. We have clearly adjusted to Covid restrictions and didn’t leave the house in the first week. The weather was glorious and we enjoyed al fresco lunches and hanging out in the garden. We left the outside world alone and yet while some days were slow we were never bored.
The girls cooking and baking went through the roof. They made a meal a day and baked a few treats too. They made bread, cinnamon rolls, flapjacks, pizza, snickerdoodles and a five layer carrot cake with buttercream. Delicious. We also surprised Husband with a tapas feast one evening after work. Leia made her own garlic mayo to go with the patatas bravas and I was beyond impressed.
The final weekend was spent in Monaco and the return to school was pretty easy. Lucky me.
