Sunday threatened to be very wet but in the end was little more than grey clouds and annoying drizzle.
Amaia insisted I dust off my hair straighteners and "refresh" her hair. Hmmm....
The rest of the morning was spent hanging around waiting till it was late enough to get dressed! We arrived at the school promptly and husband then dropped Leia and I at the Cathedral. Forty five minutes later the mass started and it all went very smoothly... Amaia has finally made her Communion! What a relief!!
It was too windy for photos outside the Cathedral and I think we were all ready to head home. We have never been great at taking family photos and today was no different!
Thanks to COVID we had no family fly over and spend the weekend. If my parents couldn't join us I didn't want anyone else to. This meant that the celebration was just the four of us and as a special treat we took the girls to Le Grill at Hotel de Paris. We kept it as a surprise and the look on the faces of my little foodies as they entered the "fancy" hotel was indeed a picture. As always the restaurant didn't disappoint. The food and service was great and overall the meal was memorable especially for the girls who also got a tour of the kitchen.
We headed home mid afternoon for a very lazy few hours watching Legends of Kora which is all Amaia wanted to do!
By the end of the day we were all super tired but super happy. I'm so relieved that it all went ahead without any hitches. It is the closest we have got to planning anything during this pandemic!!
