Keeping I'm touch

As you get older and life gets busier does keeping in touch more of a chore? I have lost contact with many friends over the years and thought my move to Monaco was the reason. But as I get older even I notice that staying in touch with friends is becoming harder and harder. I remember how I use to write long letters and keep records of letters sent and received in the back of my diary when I was younger, this eventually changed into hour long phone calls in my late teens and then to long emails in my twenties. Now as I approach 40 my main way of keeping in contact is SMS and What's app. It makes me sad but I guess the important things is to stay in touch. And in rebellion to this I posted my first letter of the year.
