Slightly manic countdown to Christmas.

I didn't write much last week because it was a little challenging. Husband left on Tuesday morning for London and came back Wednesday lunch time, then Wednesday evening he left for Geneva and came back late on Thursday. This was all unexpected and I had initially thought it would be an easy week... On top of that the possibility of husband travelling even further and longer next week was looming. I'd done two mornings of the school drop off and whilst it was do-able it was a bit stressful. I wasn't looking forward to a whole week of dropping off Amaia with Leia in tow, or a week of lonely nights, no support at bed time with the girls, catching a late flight back from London with the girls and so on. No, that week before Christmas was looking far too stressful, not to mention the 1000km drive to Spain once husband had returned.

Then it dawned on me: fly to Spain direct from London and start my holidays early. Genius! Suddenly the idea of husband travelling had a certain appeal. We would be in Spain 5 or 6 days earlier and on a direct flight! Today husband confirmed his travelling plans so I am now packing a suitcase for the girl and I to have in London and a few days in Spain and another case for husband to bring when he arrives in Spain. I am sooo excited! My Christmas holidays are only a few days away!

And in typical style, my usually empty social calendar has filled up so I really have got a manic week ahead. Tomorrow morning while Leia is in garderie I have to pack, then I have personal trainer, Wednesday I have husband's office Christmas party and Thursday I have a children's birthday lunch which means my normally free time on Wednesday and Thursday are now taken. On a more exciting note eyebrow appointment and ladies lunch are booked for the weekend! Woo hoo!
