This morning things were so good. The girls slept in and woke up in happy moods. Breakfast was relaxed and all was going fairly well until we left The Fun House. Our timing was awful and coincided with the opening of the new Starbucks in town. Princess Charlene was the guest of honour and needless to say this caused chaos with the traffic and our 15 minute journey home ended up being 45 minutes of trying to keep the girls close, calm and entertained. By the time we got off the bus my patience was running low but thankfully Leia's full on temper tantrum didn't arrive till we were in our building. Phew!
Things calmed down with lunch followed by Husband's return from London. I really didn't think the girls were up to this Christmas party but we went anyway. What a mistake. We miss the first round of Fr Christmas, we missed the food and then we spent the whole time queueing to get their faces painted. Once their faces were painted there really wasn't much to do or see and to be honest I didn't have the enthusiasm to search things out. It was home time as far as I was concerned. But by then I was soooooo fed up. I had such high expectations and was left with nothing, the girls left empty handed and seriously queueing For an hour with a two and three year old is super unpleasant. It's a shame because I was really excited for them but it was not to be....
Husband informed me this afternoon that he'd be flying to Geneva tonight so once again I'm on my own tonight and tomorrow I have the school run with both of them. On the plus side I have a girls' Christmas dinner tomorrow and I will have some free time between Leia's drop off and Amaia's pick up. But for now I need to sleep!
