Sleep

Leia has spent the last half hour unsettled. I finally gave in and picked her up. I rubbed her back as I swayed from side to side and as she calmed down I sat in the rocking chair. I held my warm little bundle close and gently rocked. As the seconds turned to minutes I realised I was actually enjoying our peaceful closeness and i know that as she gets bigger these moments will gradually disappear. I didn't want to let her go even when I realised she was snoozing away in my arms. I may have stayed in that rocking chair a minute or two longer than was necessary before I put my beautiful baby back in her cot.
