Sleep associations

Amaia is an amazingly good sleeper. She wasn't always like that and I remember her crying every time I out her to bed but eventually she'd settle. She'd wake up in the middle of the night, have a feed and go back to sleep. Leia is another story. She used to settle quickly but wake in the night to party. This has since changed to not settle quickly and cry herself to sleep followed by waking in the night screaming until I lay in bed with her. I have read up on sleeping and it's all about sleep associations, the same routine, bed time stories, a bottle and cuddly toy so Leia knows its now sleep time. But Leia has chosen to ignore everything about her bedtime routine and the only association she remembers is screaming blue murder=in bed with mama. We are now in the process of breaking this association. She fell asleep at 19h10, she woke at 20h00 she has screamed on and off for almost an hour. Husband has dealt with her as I want her to learn that mama does not always come running. Of course this works now whilst Husband is up but if the screaming occurs in the middle of the night she will have won her battle because mama will just pick her up and lay in the spare bed with her. All the while miss Amaia sleeps!
