Gloating and Eating...
Since I have been pregnant I have not stopped eating and for the first three months I could have just eaten chips, chips and more chips. However, as this was not possible or healthy I compromised and stuffed myself with bread, pasta, rice, potatoes, crisps, cakes, biscuits and the occasional piece of fruit. Then I spent a week in Spain where I was eating ridiculous amounts, with the excuse of being pregnant and on holiday. I was dreading today's visit to the doctor because last time she weighed me I'd had food poisoning and not eaten for two days leaving me at three months pregnant and with no weight gain. They are very strict here on weight gain and my doctor recommends a 10-12kg gain during a pregnancy. Now I know most of my friends have gained much more than this (twice as much!). Anyway, today was a good day, not only did I get to see my baby in 3d, I got a smile from him/her too and I found out that all my eating hasn't really made a dent, I'm less than 2kgs heavier at 17 weeks. A healthy, happy baby and an excuse to eat more - Christmas has come early!!
