Catch up

I know, it has been a while and I really have no excuse except I've been tired, uninspired and as usual a bit lazy!

So, what has happened over the last few weeks?

The highlight was definitely the arrival of my parents and aunt in mid October. They stayed for six days and five of those were spent at the house. It was great. Having them there made the place finally feel used and lived in plus they were very active on the cleaning front. Thank you papas and tia! On top of that the kitchen got lots of use and I ate ridiculous amounts over the week. It was also lovely having several eager arms to take the little madame at 07h00 so I could enjoy a lie in. Bliss...

Since their visit we have definitely been using the house more. We leave on a Friday night and return on Sunday evening. The place is all set up now, it's painted, electricity is sorted, under floor heating keeps the place cosy/ too hot (depending on the weather outside!), we have a phoneline and internet and we also have UK television to keep us entertained. Really, all that's missing is furniture but we'll do that gradually as and when we see things we like. Although here, that could take decades!

There are a few other things to catch up on but I'm going to keep this relatively short and post it now. I'll be back soon!
