My brain really has turned to jelly. I start sentances and forget what I was saying or what prompted the comment. Today I'm going to try and write about everything that has been happening - baby, house, parents - and I'm writing those subjects down early to remind me when I forget in, ooooh, 20 seconds time!
BABY L:
Today I went to the doctor and was told the baby wouldn't be joining us just yet. Possibly another week... I have to go back on the 15th of the month and I think if Baby L is still reluctant to join us the doctor may speed things along to avoid his Friday or weekend being disrupted!! The 15th February is the day I got together with Mr L so I consider it to be my lucky day and a great day for Baby L to arrive. But will Baby L be that considerate?
The good news is I haven't put on any weight since my last visit despite my non stop
eating!!! Yay!!!
After the hospital visit I went to Nice with my mum and we visited all the baby shops so she can be on wardrobe buying duty once the baby has arrived and we can inject some colour into Baby L's wardrobe!
Regarding the sex of Baby L the general consensus seems to be the baby is a boy. It's amazing how many people have to comment on this!!
THE HOUSE:
On Friday Mr L and I went to the house and met the owner who was suppose to demonstrate that everything was in "working order". Hmmm. Let's just say the owner was very laid back and very disorganised because he wasn't able to demonstrate much partly because he'd only arrived a little earlier than us!! We also took a project manager with us and showed him the works we'd want done once we'd signed. He didn't seem to daunted by the job. Hopefully we'll be signing for the house on the 12th February - unless Baby L decides otherwise.
Overall though it was good to go back to the house and still love the place and be sooooooo excited about decorating it and making it our first family home.
MY PARENTS:
Since my parents arrived the time has FLOWN by. I'm not sure what we do but we seem to be doing things all the time. Carrefour features a lot in their days. My dad likes to pop in every day (preferably without me and my mum!) so he can stock up on whatever he feels like buying. My mum and I have have done a round of all the baby shops in Nice and Monaco but are holding out on buying anything else until the baby is born.
It all feels like a holiday (apart from the visits to Carrefour - not so much my holiday style!) coffees on the beach in the morning, drinks and nibbles in the afternoon, lunch at Ariston and generally relaxing lots. There is no surprise that I am eating unusually well at the moment!!
Well, I am feeling a little snoozy now so I think the sofa is calling... I may write more later. Maybe.
