Always learning
I know I am lucky. My daily routine is pretty simple and I can dedicate most of my time to catering for the girls. This means that when I am with the girls I don't drag them to super markets, shops or any other chores I have to do. When I am with the girls I try and do things they like: park, beach, Fun House, play group or play dates. My chores are kept to my time and partly because I remember as a child how I hated shopping and going out. I won't even have a coffee or meet a friend with the girls unless there is a play area attached.
This morning Amaia left for school and Leia and I were going to go to the Fun House. Well, that's what I thought. But Leia didn't want to wear her jacket and every time I put it on, she took it off. The threat of not going to the Fun House had no impact. I guess she didn't want to go... But the thought of three hours at home did not appeal either. We both needed some fresh air. And then it dawned on me. Just do what most mums do. Do your chores now. I put her jacket on (again) and strapped her into the evil buggy and unlucky and uncooperative Leia ended up in a supermarket and and in Fnac buying wrapping paper. It passed the time easily and once Leia was left in charge of the wrapping paper she was very happy. So I got my chores done, wrapped present and got some fresh air leaving my afternoon nice and easy. Well, until the four year old birthday party starts!!
