It started with a blood test that confirmed my suspicions - my thyroid is under active again. It was actually a relief to be able to explain last week's exhaustion and aches to something other than a seasonal cold. At the same time it changes nothing and life goes on. I am having more tests to find the cause and it is all taking much longer than I'd like. Part of me can't help feeling it is a lot of fuss over nothing because I can clearly function with an under active thyroid but another part of me wonders what it would be like to function normally and maybe have energy!
Also, in complete contrast to last week I have found life with the girls so much easier. They are really starting to play together and demand less attention from me at home which leaves me free to listen to radio 4 whilst I do my chores. Yay! I had two help free days this week and I survived! In fact it was fine.
On top of that I booked my month long Summer holiday in Valencia, a 'me' weekend in London as well as two weddings and I also have a number of visits coming up. Overall life feels good and I love having all these dates to look forward to. I have been on a complete high making these plans (despite having a very mundane week!) which also cancels out my thyroid symptoms.
So, all in all a good week and even though it's raining outside I feel like spring and all it's delights are in the air.
