Home sweet home

After a slight melt down at the hospital which I can blame on hormones I finally got the nurses to speed things up. The pediatrician arrived five minutes later and the midwife did the final tests within thirty minutes so the supposed three hour wait was cut short. I was at the house with my family by 13h30 and able to enjoy a Mothers day lunch and relax a little. I was left very disappointed with the hospital and my doctors who I think could have let us both go home earlier than the obligatory four nights stay especially when they were short on space in the maternity ward. I'm disappointed that I had to throw a strop to get some response from the staff who until then had been great but then I wonder if this is a reflection of me being a very low maintenance patient...

Now im just gong to enjoy being back home with my girls, Husband and my parents. It's different but I think the second time round you are less overwhelmed by the workload, the time spent feeding, the time spent awake and the amount of nappies that need changing! I am a lot more relaxed and hopefully Leia will benefit from that. So far Amaia isn't particularly interested in her sister but hopefully that will change. So far however she has stayed in her routine and not played up any more than usual. I know right now I am being so relaxed about it because I also have my parents holding the fort and taking care of the day to day things which means I can focus on the girls. I'm not so sure how relaxed I will be when they leave!

So, there's the update.I will get a photo on here at some point....
