The weekend I was so looking forward to has come and gone and it was lovely.

There was only one disappointment and that was the weather on Friday between 10h30 and 14h30 where it suddenly clouded over and got very chilly. It meant my morning on the beach was cut short and lunch on the beach wasn't very appealing. Having said that the day was hardly ruined it just meant playing at the flat and then enjoying a very good burger at Cosmo. We enjoyed dessert at Haagen Dazs and by this time the sun had come out too and then after browsing some shops we had a couple of al fresco drinks at the hotel. A very chilled afternoon.

That evening we went to Buddha Bar for dinner. We enjoyed an aperitif at the bar then went upstairs to the restaurant which was very busy. I have to say the food was rather disappointing, although I didn't try the sushi starter the others ordered - one of the disadvantages of being pregnant! Maybe I made the wrong choice as the curry options were enjoyed but my salmon and my cousin's black cod were nothing amazing and the extra fried rice and noodles we ordered were tasty but only takeaway standard. The desserts were good although I have a complaint I thought I'd never make - my chocolate fondant was TOO chocolatey!

The rest of the weekend was spent enjoying the sunshine at the house, it was lovely to just sit outside sipping drinks and eating far too many snacks and unhealthy things! Amaia did lots of walking and was able to enjoy the open space of our garden. It really was very relaxing and not much to report back because other than the obligatory tour of the village and a quick stop at the new, improved Le Clerc supermarket in Vence we didn't venture out of the house!
