Bliss

It's gone 09h00 and I am still in bed, how great is that?!

Husband and I are in Nice having some time out whilst Amaia is cared for by my doting parents and aunt. It has been great having a whole 24 hours to ourselves. We did some shopping, ate a lot and relaxed even more. It has been bliss. Of course I miss my gorgeous baby but I know she is in excellent hands and soaking up all the attention. In fact I doubt she has noticed we aren't there!

Overall the week has been very productive and the house is taking shape... We bought a load of things from Ikea on Monday which give the place a more lived in feel - a tv unit, bar stools and an entrance unit - not to mention all the little bits and bobs that weren't as nececessary. We also bought Amaia's bed for when the baby takes over her cot. It won't be until after the Summer but we want to be prepared and also get her accustomed to it. Husband has also made great progress on the stair gates which means we can leave Amaia to roam free and the pool problems seem to be under control too.

Yesterday we surprised ourselves by buying two lovely dining arm chairs in Flamant for the heads of the table. The were shockingly reasonable and most importantly very comfortable. I also bought a gorgeous pregnancy friendly coat from Comptoir des Cottoniers, it's a size 10 and was reduced by over 200€! Husband bulk bought a whole new work wardrobe and Amaia also got a few new things for her Spring wardrobe.

Today I plan on popping into another furniture shop to look at cushions and also into BCBG if it is still in Nice Etoile. I am also going to go to Monoprix and buy their imported chocolate mini rolls! Haven't had those for a year!

This afternoon my in laws arrive so Amaia will be spoilt for adoring fans. And tomorrow is the big day. Amaia is one. I am suppose to be baking a cake... Or something to honour the occasion. Yikes.

So life is good, I am happy and all is well. Big smiles all round...
