Cancellations, delays and deliveries

The trip to Valencia didn´t go quite to plan thanks to Spanish air controllers throwing an unannounced strike on Friday night. I eventually managed to get through to Iberia and change my flight from Saturday to Monday. The journey was long, partly because of the very early start (05h00) and partly because of the backlog of problems left over from the weekend. When I got to Madrid airport (late) and with my connecting flight already boarding I also discovered that my push chair was no where to be found. I could either look for my buggy or get my flight. As the buggy was supposedly checked in I decided to get the flight. I ran across half of Madrid airport with Amaia in my arms and made it as the last call was being announced. I mentioned that my buggy hadn´t turned up and they promised to look into it though they didn´t think it would make it onto my flight. Fine. I got to Valencia to discover NONE of my stuff had made it on to my flight. Twenty four hours later there is still no sign of bag or buggy anlthough apparently it is being delivered but no one can tell me where it is or when it will arrive. Thankfully I have all Amaia´s bottles and food with me and she has a whole new wardrobe courtesy of the New York visit so she´s OK. I´m not doing as well as I am makeup-less, moisturiser-less and not to mention without a decent outfit to wear. So whilst it´s great being home I am a little p´d off - although paella, siestas and lots of treat is making it bearable!
